This year’s program is focused on Surgical and Wellness topics. You can earn up to 6 credit hours of continuing education. This year’s lineup includes Stephen J. Birchard, DVM, MS, DACVS. He will focus on surgery topics including gastropexies, oncologic surgery, and reconstruction of surgical wounds (4 CE available).
CVMA is also pleased to welcome Jennifer Brandt, PhD, MSW, will speak on Compassion Fatigue: Caring Until it Hurts. This interactive workshop is designed to help those in veterinary practice learn coping skills to manage the distress from over-emphasis on caring for clients and patients and under-emphasis on care of self (2 CE available).
Finally, CVMA is pleased to be offering CE for veterinary technicians as part of the day as well. Jennifer Brandt, noted above, will discuss Communication within the Veterinary Healthcare Team: That’s Easy For You to Say! and compassion fatigue (2 CE available). Then, Ashley Wiese, DVM, MS, DAVCAA, will provide 2 CE hours on anesthesia and post-operative care (2 CE available).
